AJ Lee & Blue Summit

AJ Lee & Blue Summit are an award-winning, energetic, charming, and technically jaw-dropping band quickly rising on the national roots music scene. Originally based in Santa Cruz, California, the group met as teenagers, picking and jamming together as kids at local bluegrass festivals until one day, they decided they would be a band. After almost a decade on the road, they have established themselves as one of the most exciting and dynamic groups in Bluegrass. The band is AJ Lee (mandolin, vocals), Jan Purat (fiddle), Sullivan Tuttle (guitar) and Sean Newman (bass). They won the FreshGrass Band Contest in 2019, the year AJ Lee was named IBMA Momentum Vocalist of the Year, and have played Telluride Bluegrass Festival, RockyGrass, Grey Fox, High Sierra, Strawberry, Wintergrass, WinterWonderGrass and La Roche in France. In May 2025 they launched Sierragrass, a festival they created and curate in the Sierra Nevada foothills. They have shared bills with Big Richard, Broken Compass Bluegrass, The Cody Sisters and The Salty Strings. Their debut album Like I Used To arrived in 2019 and I'll Come Back in August 2021. City of Glass, their Signature Sounds debut, followed on July 19, 2024, with Molly Tuttle singing on "I Can't Find You at All". Cover to Cover, eleven covers recorded with engineer Jonathan Kirchner and guests including Jerry Douglas, Lindsay Lou and Trey Hensley, came out on Signature Sounds on September 11, 2026, and the band is on the road through February 2027.
